A clogged sink can be an incredible inconvenience. Here are a few methods to try out if your double sink gets clogged.
Depending on the severity of the clog, try the garbage disposal method if you have one. For double sinks, put a stopper into the drain on the side without the disposal. Hold the stopper in place, turning on the disposal for a few moments. Try this a few times until the drain clears.
There is also the plunger method. For this to work, a vacuum needs to be created to force the clog to break up and flow down the drain. To create a vacuum, eliminate any areas where pressure might escape. Seal the drain of one of the sinks using a stopper or something comparable while using a plunger on the other.
If you have a dishwasher, you must pinch the machine's drain hose to seal it. The hose will most likely be black rubber or white plastic and located under the sink connected to the side of the garbage disposal. With a locking wrench or a c-clamp, pinch the hose. Now you can use the plunger.
Remember to keep the plunger sealed around the drain opening. Before you start, make sure there is enough water in the sink to cover the plunger.

This is an excellent solution. I was on my way to Home Depot to purchase drain unclogging material and was looking online to see what I needed. There was nothing to lose in trying this first, and it work!!!
